The full height glazed south facade using Rationel windows and motorised timber louvres to the inner courtyard created a distinctive yet sympathetic approach to the local character. The project used local Chicksgrove random course stone from Lovell’s with natural slate and timber larch cladding with polished screed floors.

We worked closely with the clients developing the design through computer models in order to create a clear understanding of the concept. Often we find this technique or cardboard models help convey the designs and enable the process to be a collaboration, which can also help with discussions with the planning authorities.
